Tony Wells, operator and owner of Alpine Adventurer 4WD tag-a-long tours, is a 5th Generation Pioneer from Mount Buffalo Victoria, and is a descendant to Guide Alice, the first female tour guide in the region. Tony’s family history is steeped in the early establishment of guided tours up into the Buffalo Ranges from the late 1890’s and onwards.
Tony’s ancestors were renowned for taking tourists up into the mountains via horse and buggy. These days Tony chooses to tour by 4WD and though he does not restrict his travels to the Victorian High Country, the Mountains keeping calling him home, thus giving him good reason to specialise in High Country Tag-a-long Tours.
